DATO’ MOHD SARIT BIN HAJI YUSOH
Chairman / Independent Non-Executive Director
Dato’ Mohd Sarit Bin Haji Yusoh, D.S.A.P., D.I.M.P., A.M.P., a Malaysian, aged 60, is the Chairman of the Company. He was appointed to the Board on 23 August 1996. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) (Hon) Degree from University of Malaya in 1975 and Master of Arts (Economics) Degree from University of Philippines in 1977.
Dato’ Sarit is a Director of several public listed companies, private companies and voluntary organizations. He has had a distinguished career with the government sector primarily in the fields of finance and education. He had served as an Officer to the Ministry of Finance in 1975 before joining PETRONAS as Marketing Executive from 1977 to 1981. He was the General Manager of PERNAS from 1981 to 1984. He served as Political Secretary to the Education Minister, Ministry of Education from 1986 to 1990. He was the Executive Chairman of Kentucky Fried Chicken Holdings (M) Berhad from 1993 to 1999, Ayamas Food Corporation Berhad from 1996 to 1999, Khee San Berhad from 1996 to 2007, Goh Ban Huat Berhad from 1994 to 2009 and Kurnia Setia Berhad from 1991 to 2011.
Dato’ was the Pahang State Assemblyman for the Semantan Constituency from 1990 to 1999 and a member of Parliament for Temerloh, Pahang Darul Makmur from 1999 to 2008.

KWAN NGEN CHUNG
Managing Director / Non-Independent Executive Director
Kwan Ngen Chung, a Malaysian, aged 51, is one of the co-founder Directors of the Company and is currently the Company Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer. He holds a degree of Master of Business Administration from Wisconsin International University, USA. Prior to the founding of the Company, Kwan Ngen Chung has been principally involved in the oil palm industry. He also has substantial experience in stone quarry operation, road construction and property development. Using his vast knowledge and experience obtained in the past 30 years, he and his brother, Kwan Ngen Wah established Kwantas Corporation Berhad in 1996.

KWAN JIN NGET
Non-Independent Executive Director
Kwan Jin Nget, a Malaysian, aged 44, graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration from University of Iowa, USA in 1989. She has been a Director since the Company was incorporated.
Kwan Jin Nget is currently the Director of Administration/ Plantation of the Company. Her responsibilities include the coordination for the efficient operations of the Company and overseeing human resources management, general administration and oil palm plantations.

KWAN NGEN WAH
Non-Independent Executive Director
Kwan Ngen Wah, a Malaysian, aged 53, is one of the co-founder Directors of the Company and is currently an Executive Director. He received his tertiary education in the UK.
Kwan Ngen Wah has been actively involved in the oil palm industry, stone quarry operation, road construction and property development projects for the past 20 years and gained substantial knowledge and experience in these industries. The accumulated experience coupled with the close relationship with customers and suppliers provide adequate impetus for him to efficiently steer the Company to greater success.

KWAN MIN NYET
Non-Independent Executive Director
Kwan Min Nyet, a Malaysian, aged 42, graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration from University of Iowa, USA in 1989. She has been a Director since the Company was incorporated.
Kwan Min Nyet is responsible for the finance and the marketing functions of the Company’s oil mill operations.

CHONG KAN HIUNG
Non-Independent Executive Director
Chong Kan Hiung, a Malaysian, aged 47, is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountant in the UK and also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Taxation. He was appointed as a Non-Independent Executive Director on 12 November 2001.
Chong Kan Hiung is responsible for the financial functions of the Group, he has been with the Group for the past 10 years and is also the joint Company Secretary for the Company.
Prior to joining the Kwantas Group in 1996, he was attached to an international Public Accountant firm for 10 years. He has considerable experience in corporate finance and general management. Chong Kan Hiung is also a certified member of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia.

OOI JIT HUAT
Independent Non-Executive Director
Ooi Jit Huat, a Malaysian, aged 60, is a Certified Public Accountants and the managing partner of public accounting firm, Russ Ooi & Associates since 1985. He is also the member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Taxation. He was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 9 March 2000.
Ooi Jit Huat was trained as an auditor with the KPMG Peat Marwick, Mitchell, and he was instrumental in setting up the consultancy arm for the firm.
He has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry having carved areas of expertise in corporate consultancy, financial management, management information systems and auditing and investigations. His professional assignments covered floatation exercises, investigations and due diligence reporting and the reverse take-over of several companies on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. He sits on the Board of Priceworth Wood Products Berhad.

DATUK TYAN VON CHOON
Independent Non-Executive Director
Datuk Tyan Von Choon, a Malaysian, aged 65, is a Barrister-At-Law and was called to the English Bar Lincoln’s Inn. He was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 8 March 2007.
Datuk had served in the Royal Malaysia Police for 32 years and retired as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sabah in year 2001.
