Kwantas's oil mills consistently achieve one of the highest oil extraction rates (OER) in the industry.

At the mills, the fruit is first sterilised in large pressure tanks which soften the fruit as well as killing any bacteria on the fruit. Then the fruit is removed from the bunches in the rotating drum stripper. From there, the fruit is passed through a screw press where the oil is extracted from the fleshy fruit, leaving behind the kernels. The oil is then clarified and purified to produce crude palm oil (CPO).
