The Group ventured into China in year 2003, establishing operations in two major cities, Guangzhou and Zhangjiagang. The two provinces provide a large demand base for palm oil products. In Guangzhou, the Group has bulking installations, refinery, shortening plant and a soap noodle plant while in Zhangjiagang, the Group operates bulking facilities and trades oils and fats products in the Jiangsu province.

The construction of two plants which produce of soap noodle, glycerine and other oleochemical products in Guangzhou and Zhangjiagang is still on going. Going forward, the operations in the two provinces of China could potentially provide the largest source of revenue for the Group, particularly as China increase its palm oil imports.
